SCC to invest £150,000
Following ongoing discussions between Suffolk County Council and the Suffolk Congress, the Council has announced its intention to invest up to £150,000 in the development of ‘frontline social businesses’ in Suffolk.
By this we understand the initiative to focus on developing a more businesslike approach for all Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) organisations involved in public service delivery, not just social enterprises.
The purpose of this initiative is to assist front line delivery organisations to be increasingly more commercial and competitive, in both winning and delivering public sector services. The deadline for expressions of interest is 30th September.
